EDGENG® custom designs and fabricates technologically advanced Weirs and Scum Baffles for Water Treatment, Chlorine Contact Chambers, Flocculation Basins, Aeration Chambers and Mixer Basins using engineered Fiber-reinforced plastic (FRP), also known as Fiber-reinforced Polymer. EDGENG®’s Weirs and Baffles are all engineered composites utilizing NSF approved pultruded components. FRP Weirs and Baffle Systems are lower in cost than other materials.
FRP products are virtually maintenance free and less costly to install due to its lightweight characteristics. Our Wiers and Baffle System components have a vast range of structural configurations we can use to accommodate special design considerations of our clients. EDGENG®’s Baffle panels are designed to offer flexibility in fabrication. The standard panels are pultruded with a polyester resin system. The resin system has a UV inhibitor and the glass reinforcements are covered by a surfacing veil for enhanced corrosion resistance and additional UV protection. Class 1 ASTM E-84 rating, vinyl ester and a special resin system to meet NSF 61 requirements also are available.
EDGENG®’s fiberglass baffle panels can be used in municipal and industrial water and waste water systems, aeration and contact chambers and retention basins. The lightweight panels can be easily installed and are ideal for retrofitting into existing systems.
